1. A. Is there a tuition fee for the residency? If so, how much (in euro or usd)?:

No

2. What is the annual salary (in euro or u.s.d)?:

About 500 euros a mounth the first 2 years and 600 euros the 2 left year plus shifts(20euros/24h)

3. How expensive are the costs of living (average annual expenditure in euro or u.s.d)?:

About 4000 euros a year for basic life

Section C. Application Procedure
1. Accreditation procedure:

By providing a request to the health minestry. Then the international doctor should practice in the hospital as a resident for 2 years.

2. Other requirements:

He should pass the Residency National Exam (Once per year in the mounth of december)

3. Differences in application procedure depending on country of origin:

Ther is no differences for applying for the residency exam. However for medical licence he should have the equivalence (2 years in different hospitals )

4. Ratio between applicants and physicians who finally obtain a residency position:

It is an exam where the number of residency places is already determined independently from the number of students who pass the exam (450 residency places in 2003) so it could be until 1:4 to 1:5

5. Does everyone who passes the medical license examinations gain a residency position in a hospital?:

Yes, of course not everybody passes the exams (see ratio above)

6. Specialties in which it is most difficult to obtain a position:

The residency National Exam is a unique exam for all the specialties and the student chooses the specialty that he wants by order of priorty. So it changes year by year.

9. Requirements for international physicians to be able to work in this country after completing their specialization there:

He is allowed , but he must request it from the health minestry.
