Yes, the residents are evaluated by theory and clinical examinations. They will also have to present a thesis.

4. How many hours of work per week are there?:

48 hours per week plus 24 hours shifts.

5. What is the ratio between this country’s doctors and its population?:

Approximately 1 doctor for 13,000 population

6. Which languages are necessary for the medical residency?:

Nepali is the national language. But the teaching/learning activity is carried out in English. To do your residency in Nepal you must be good in both spoken and written English and you must also learn spoken Nepali.

Section B. Finance
1. A. Is there a tuition fee for the residency? If so, how much (in euro or usd)?:

If you are from a SAARC country ( Nepal , India , Pakistan , Bhutan , Bangladesh , Sri-lanka , Maldives ) then you will have to pay $4,500 per year (tuition fee only). For the rest you will have to pay $6,000 per year (tuition fee only).

2. What is the annual salary (in euro or u.s.d)?:

You don't get paid while doing your residency out here.

3. How expensive are the costs of living (average annual expenditure in euro or u.s.d)?:

The costs of living here is approximately 2000 euro per year.
