For state financed – Latvian
For self financed – Latvian, but students have time to learn it during the 1st year (depends on the field and program director, bu mostly they are cooperative )

No for state financed.

Yes if you pay for your residency yourself
(the fee is ~2428 € for non EU citizens, ~1500 € for EU citizens.
The fee also depends on the number of students involved in the program)

2. What is the annual salary (in euro or u.s.d)?:

2747 € – taxes (~30%)

3. How expensive are the costs of living (average annual expenditure in euro or u.s.d)?:

Approximately the same as the resident's annual salary

Recognition of diploma by academic education center for non EU citizens

4. Ratio between applicants and physicians who finally obtain a residency position:

For state financed there are less spots than applicants.
For self financed – no problem at all
